Whether you are a tourist or a local, Puerto Vallarta has a lot to offer for outdoor activities. From repelling and zip-lining offered by many tour companies such as Canopy River, to touring the malecón (boardwalk) by the ocean. The Malecón is amazing by foot or on bike and features some amazing restaurants and souvenir shops. If you love walking, or as some say, hiking; try the hike from Boca to Las Animas. It is a rewarding hike through a trail beside the ocean.

Many tourist love to rent ATVs and RZRs from companies like
Xiutla Riders Eco-adventures who offer ATV private tours, personal Surf Lessons, Scooter Rentals, Bike rentals, and paddle board lessons. Ebike rentals are also available with PV eBike Rentals

There are also beautiful sights to see such as the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe and areas such as the Romantic Zone (Old Town). The art district in Puerto Vallarta is strong with many artists featured in numerous galleries. A beautiful display can be seen in Sergio Bustamante Gallery and another favorite is Galleria Dante. They have a restaurant upstairs you can dine surrounded by ART.

Puerto Vallarta has live venues too. Try 'The Palm', it is a Cabaret & bar. Located in the Romantic Zone (Olas Altas 508) for some live entertainment.

The nightlife of Puerto Vallarta can be explored in the numerous Miami style clubs and even a comedy show. There are special activities such as Rhythm of the Nights and the Pirate Ship. Puerto Vallarta is no ordinary town, it is a tourist destination. Photo below is the halfway point on the hike from Boca to Las Animas.

One of the most popular things to do while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta is book a sports fishing tour. Two great companies that come highly recommended are BIP Yacht Charters and Charly's Sport Fishing & Tours. So if you are searching for private Boating Services, Sport-fishing, Sailing, Catamarans & Yachting, you can find it on the Top Ten.

As a tourist, I enjoy as much adventure as I can find including the hiking. Here is a video clip after the hour hike and enjoying the last few minutes of the beach at Las Animas before heading back to Boca by water taxi.
